To help raise awareness for Dewi James, Eve has written her own piece for Wales Online in which she explain’s meeting Dewi and his family, why you should donate and about her and Kai’s challenges in Snowdonia.
For the past few weeks, there has just been one thing occupying my thoughts – the plight of little Dewi James.
When you meet him, Dewi looks like any typical three-year-old and lights up the room with his beautiful smile.
But unlike others his age, he cannot walk without falling over or being in pain as he has a condition called diplegia spasticity cerebral palsy.
Now his mum Deborah, dad Robert and the rest of his family and friends are hoping to raise £60,000 for him to have an operation.
However, it’s a real race against time to get the money as the younger he is when it’s carried out, the better his chances in life.
I’m now doing everything I can to help them smash that massive total, including a challenge which will see me face my fear of heights, more of which later.
