So, we have known for a while that Eve has had to keep quiet about a new role… Well, today we found out what it is! She will be playing a central character, along side David Tennant and Olivia Colman, in the second series of the ITV hit drama, Broadchurch!
This is really exciting and the news has spread quickly via various websites!
Considering that the first series boasted a Doctor Who writer (Chris Chibnall), director (Euros Lyn), Companion (Arthur Darvill), and Doctor (need we even?), not forgetting the latest actor to play William Hartnell (David Bradley), the mum out of The Eleventh Hour (Olivia Colman), and more, it’s no surprise that Broadchurch series two is welcoming another Whoniverse player: Torchwood and The Unquiet Dead‘s Eve Myles, who is to play “a central role” in the new run.
As if we didn’t have enough fabulous actresses, it’s a thrill to be joined by Wales’ finest, Eve Myles. Having worked together on ‘Torchwood’, it’s a joy to be able to welcome her to ‘Broadchurch’. And anyone who’s seen Phoebe Waller-Bridge perform knows she’s already on the way to being a superstar. We’re lucky to have them both on board. – Chris Chibnall
They are filming the series in Dorset between August and November, and more information about Eve’s character will be released soon! All the articles from various websites are linked below!
