THE Gower’s stunning coastline now has even more reason to be described as out of this world – after sci-fi hit Torchwood moved its filming there from Los Angeles.
Crews from the Doctor Who spin-off have been filming on Rhossili Beach for the show’s fourth series this week, where actors John Barrowman and Eve Myles are reprising their roles as Captain Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper.
The new 10-part international version of Torchwood is being subtitled Miracle Day after its startling plot, which sees the end of death on Earth – and examines the overnight population issues that creates.
Speaking of the US-UK co-production, which will air later this year, Torchwood writer Russell T Davies said:
One thing I’ve quite enjoyed is the little jokes in the show about Brits feeling lost in America and Americans not knowing where Wales is.
