SFX is here to film Eve’s acceptance speech for the reader awards, where she’s been voted science fiction’s Best Actress, fending off some heavyweight competition from the likes of Cate Blanchett and Battlestar Galactica’s Mary McDonnell. Currently taking time out with her 12-week-old daughter Matilda, Eve has also kindly agreed to a quick natter about her character and the show that’s brought her fame on both sides of the Atlantic.

Eve to appear at The Hub 4

Massive Events brings you their fourth installment of “Torchwood” conventions: The Hub 4 planned for 2010, to celebrate the hit UK television series. The event will be held from Friday 9th – Sunday 11th of April 2010. This unofficial convention aims to bring together fans of the series from across the country to meet some the show’s stars and enjoy various events over the weekend. There will be activities each day from guest talks and photograph sessions to quizzes and late night parties.

Torchwood star Eve Myles’ joy at new arrival

TORCHWOOD star Eve Myles is relishing her most demanding role yet – as proud mum to baby daughter Matilda.

The Ystradgynlais actress gave birth to 6lb 1oz Matilda at Cardiff’s University Hospital of Wales last month and said she and partner Brad Freegard are “completely over the moon.”

It’s a girl!

After nine long months, Eve has finally had her baby and it’s a girl that’s been named Matilda Myles Freegard. That’s a really great name, and it appears both the baby and mother are doing fine. We hope to get more details soon.

Armageddon Expo 2010 appearance

Fans from down under will be happy to know that Eve is coming to visit you next year at the 2010 Armageddon Expo. According to the short video clip, Eve plans to attend both the Australia and New Zealand events.

Torchwood, the sinister and sexy sci-fi drama airing on BBC America, has taken the United States by storm. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Eve Myles, who co-stars with John Barrowman and Gareth David-Lloyd as Gwen Cooper. Myles was enchanting and infinitely patient as my voice recorder chose not to work and I had to resort to pen and paper (“My Welsh accent broke your recorder!” she exclaimed).

For Eve Myles, round is the new flat.
“I’m sitting down at home with my big five-months-pregnant belly and my dog,” said Myles, one of the stars of Torchwood, on the phone from Cardiff, Wales.
