This is just a quick update to let everyone know that the forum is getting a makeover. The current theme is getting a bit long in the tooth and it’s time for a new look.
Here’s a preview of the new style:
phpBB3 "DirtyBoard 2.0"
This style has a bit of the grunge look, which is similar to the theme used for the front page of the site. It may take some time to adjust to it, but I think it’s one of the best and most unique forum styles out there—and the earthy colors are fantastic.
We’re moving away from the phpBB3 and WordPress integration because there are just too many issues to work out. Things tends to break when you update the software and many themes do not work when integrated, which really limits the choices when wanting to make changes. I’m sure it will get better in the future, but it’s still a beta mod and needs much more work before it’s considered rock-solid.
We hope to roll this new style out before the end of the week and will update this post when it goes live.
