I was born in lancashire and have lived here for the past 66 years. Majority of actors in dramas set in Lancashire manage to speak Lanky with a pronounced Yorkshire accent. Even the great John Thaw couldn’t sustain it for very long ( Cavanagh QC). But do we get upset about it. No! After all if you can’t be a lancastrian a Tyke is next best. Sadly the Taffs don’t seem to imbued with the greatest of sense of humour. Joe.

i don’t know what they’re making all the fuss about, Framed itself was brilliant and who cares about the accents?? it’s not like the actors, who were brilliant, could all suddenly change theirs to those of North Wales! get over it Framed was brilliant, the acting was great and Eve Myles was as usual fantastic!!! x o

im from north wales and noticed the accent error but it didnt spoil it one bit for me infact some northern area accents are really terrible to listen to on a regular basis in enjoyed it for what it was an excellent drama with top quality acting throughout

Forget the accents, what was important was the fine performances (especially the children), the beautiful scenery, and the wonderful painting.

i never even notived the difference!! I am scottish!! all i heard was the welsh accnet and that was good enough for me, and it should have been the same for the viewers! i am sure no harm was meant at all!!!

omg how annoying. people like me who live in england wouldnt have even noticed the difference because i didnt. at least eve was still good :) x
