Broadcast Now is reporting that BBC Radio 4 will be airing three 45-minute radio plays that will feature the voices of actors John Barrowman, Gareth David-Lloyd and Eve Myles. These are set to air sometime next month, which should give fans that are eagerly awaiting the third series of Torchwood something entertaining to listen to in the meantime.
Details of each play are as follows:
Phil Ford – lead writer on Doctor Who’s children’s spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures and co-writer of the next Doctor Who special – has penned the episode The Dead Line, in which a series of mysterious phone calls lead Captain Jack into danger, and result in ‘a very emotional moment for Ianto.’
James Goss, who has written Torchwood novels, has set his episode, The Golden Age, in India.
Experienced radio scriptwriter Anita Sullivan has written Asylum, in which the gang investigate the story of a teenage runaway.
These will air during BBC Radio 4′s Afternoon Play slot, and you can check their site for the schedule.
